Oral presentation
Special Issue: What matters to patients
Abstract
Matilda Tristram presents panels from her diary comic, Probably Nothing (Penguin/Viking 2014), about being diagnosed with bowel cancer when pregnant with her first baby, and a new strip about undergoing a reverse hemicolectomy operation a year later. She discusses patient safety in both these instances, including mistakes that could have been avoided as well as responses that helped.
